Abstract.
The author tells about the basic aspects of the USSR social policy during Great Patriotic War in relation to evacuated population and pays special attention to the analysis of the reception and placement of evacuated military men's families in Middle Volga region and to the measures undertaken by the region authorities aimed at the solution of the social adaptation tasks of this citizens category.
