Abstract.
The article is devoted to the most ancient and always topical problem - the problem of revenge and punishment. In concentrated form it tackles practically all the deep aspects of human existence and communal life. The author's task is to analyze the creativity of the outstanding thinker of New Time philosophy - Thomas Hobbes - just through the prism of revenge and punishment theme and their importance in human life.
