Abstract.
The author analyzes the idea of revenge and retaliation in John Locke's creative work. The idea of revenge and retaliation has excited philosophers' minds at all times, no other problem provokes such intensity of emotions and has such social importance, it truly penetrates all the deep structures of our consciousness and anyhow affects practically all the problem spots of our existence.
