Abstract.
The author reveals feudal castles significance in medieval political culture, pays particular attention to the special role which castles played in the administration and protection of medieval regions as the centers of administrative, judicial-legal, economic and cultural organization, as well as considers castle axiological function in medieval culture political values broadcasting and researches castle semiotic function as the symbol of regional military-political power, might, expansion, etc.
