Abstract.
The author reveals the significance and features of F. D. Konstantinov's illustrations to M. Yu. Lermontov's poem Novice, conducts the comparative analysis of F. D. Konstantinov's illustrations and his predecessors' works, determines the artist's series features, pays special attention to the specifics of the poem illustration process by F. D. Konstantinov and in addition shows his series significance in the poem illustration history.
