Abstract.
The author considers the problem of non-ferrous metals and alloys industry formation on the basis of Leningrad plant Red Vyborzhets in the 20s-30s of the XXth century, studies the development dynamics of the one-of-a-kind enterprise which became the main non-ferrous metals supplier for Leningrad aircraft factories during the interwar period and presents new archival materials on the object of research.
