STEPPE REGION STATISTICAL COMMITTEES CONTRIBUTION TO MUSEUM FUNDS FORMATION IN THE LAST THIRD OF THE XIXTH -THE BEGINNING OF THE XXTH CENTURY

Abstract.
The author reveals the contribution of the district statistical committees of the Steppe region to the region social-cultural study through one of the activity aspects: museum funds formation and development; substantiates the reference to the Steppe region within the territorial boundaries by the fact that it was a part of the super-region - Western Siberia - and was geographically presented by Akmola, Semipalatinsk districts and Semirechinsk district which was a part of the region until 1896; shows that the statistical committees, which were the regional centres of statistical accounting, concentrated a lot of achievements in the sphere of science, culture and art, thereby forming separate expositions and funds as museum fundamental principle; and pays special attention to the personal contribution of the secretaries, determining the directions of unnecessary work and personally involved in museum funds formation.
