Abstract.
The author discusses the figurative-artistic world of the Petersburg composer Maximilian Steinberg, considers Beauty image in the master's musical heritage as a cultural universal illustrative of the Silver Age poetics, and as the result of Steinberg's composer's creative work analysis reveals that harmony embodiment was artistic retrospectivism contributing to Beauty ideal opposition to modern culture destructive tendencies.
