Abstract.
The author reveals the philosophical and world-view foundations of German romanticism, which were the basis for historicism principle formation, analyzes the ideas of the German romanticism prominent figures Fr. Holderlin and Fr. Schlegel on historical development problem and the possibility of social harmony obtaining and shows that the German romanticists' historiosophy provides the transition from the theological understanding of historical as Christ's theophany to its interpretation as history theophany that leads to the graduate understanding of the deep unity of history and historical epochs sense.
