SHOULD TOLERANCE BE LIMITLESS?

Abstract.
The authors consider different scientific approaches to the analysis of tolerance, determine the scientific novelty of the article by the insufficient development of tolerance philosophical aspects relating to a person and his (her) identity understanding, and by activity approach to tolerance study, research the problem of tolerance demarcation emphasizing the conceptual ambiguity of the phenomenon, show that the difficulty of tolerance limits and criteria determination is associated with the impossibility of the complete rational substantiation of this phenomenon, formulate that tolerance limits should be considered within particular time and place, and mention that they always come back to a man as a social-cultural norms bearer and a particular historical process participant.
