Abstract. The author reveals the unknown pages of Bratsk Deanery history in the 1920-1930s, and pays special attention to the question of renovation ideas dissemination among Bratsk Deanery parishes that was a common event within the territories belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) during the designated period. It was during those years, when renovationist movement within the ROC was growing in strength and then rapidly failed. The same events happened in Bratsk Deanery parishes of Irkutsk region. Siberian clergy took active part in the Church renewal actions: in due time All-Siberian Renovationist Control Agencies were established and dissident metropolitans were appointed. The study of Church affairs within Bratsk district in the 1920-1930s has historic value as there are few works devoted to this subject.
