Abstract.
The author discusses the social-philosophical rethinking of person's self-consciousness problems, pays special attention to the process of its historical development, considers different points of view on the question under study, emphasizes the significance of multiple-aspect approach to this phenomenon, which is possible only within the framework of philosophical knowledge, and comes to the conclusion about the new prospects of the implementation of theoretical and practical knowledge about the mechanisms of person's self-consciousness and individualization formation in the realities of the modern era.
