Abstract.
With the help of the range of memoir sources, archival data, and leaflets the author covers the circumstances of the trial of the socialist-revolutionary terrorist Ivan Platonovich Kalyaev, the reasons of filing cassational appeal and execution, and substantiates that Kalyaev's denial of pardon was conscious and had grounds of ethical nature, and the trial, cassational appeal processing and execution were considered as the element of agitation-propagandistic action.
