M. FOUCAULT'S VIEW ON CRIMINALS CORRECTION PROBLEM IN DISCIPLINARY SOCIETY

Abstract. The author discusses the problem of punishment purpose within the framework of disciplinary society, diverges from criminals correction understanding as substantive change and moral transformation typical of native science and practice, and referring to the ideas of Michel Foucault considers correction as an individual's behaviour formal compliance with established standards.
