Abstract. The author discusses one of the most difficult problems in philosophical anthropology - the problem of human aggressiveness, substantiates that it, in varying degree, affects many aspects of our existential and social life, sets the task to conduct the comparative analysis of two prominent conceptions of human aggressiveness interpretation - ethological and social-biological ones, and emphasizes the identification of methodological foundations for each of them, as well as the succession of these two powerful approaches, and their obvious and fundamental differences.
