Abstract. The authors research the history of governmental high-frequency communication of the USSR during the period preceding the Great Patriotic War, basing on archival and published materials analyze the changes in the structures, personnel, organization, technical equipment of governmental communication, and mention the increased necessity for communication component reinforcement in governing the state.
