Abstract.
The author reveals the problems of the genesis of the notion spirituality, by the materials of the Western European philosophical doctrines conducts the theoretical-methodological analysis of its rational-gnoseological form, expressed in the notion spirit, and reveals the dialectical interconnection in the categorical line spirit - spirituality, which determines the qualitative content of spirituality, forming up the system of the universal value orientations of an individual and society.
