Abstract. The authors raise the problem of human emotional well-being in the modern Russian society, which is characterized by such features as the disintegration of national, confessional and cultural identification, the sense of fear and emotional instability, and pay special attention to the reasons of emotional instability in the Russian Federation, which condition the destructive influence on the development of an individual and lead to the process of identity disintegration.
