AMERICAN AND BRITISH HISTORIOGRAPHY ABOUT CONSEQUENCES OF MILITARY CONFLICT IN CHECHNYA

Abstract.
The author reveals the ideas about the Russian-Chechen conflict consequences, articulated in the works of the American and British researchers, for the first time within the study of the Western historiography of the war in Chechnya analyzes the main blocks of the supposed and factual consequences of the conflict for both the Russian and Chechen sides, pays special attention to the recommendations proposed by the Western researchers for the conflict resolution in Chechnya, and makes the assumption about their possible effectiveness.
