Abstract.
The task of the revival, preservation and popularization of national traditions is a problem of our times, so the reference to the phenomenon of distaff as a part of traditional national culture is of particular topicality. The author considers the general constructive, dimensional-plastic, artistic-aesthetic characteristics of Komi district distaffs, determines possible criteria of their systematization, and outlines the areal tendencies in separate traits spreading.
