Abstract.
The author reveals one of the aspects of the problem of capitalist consciousness values study - the question of the genesis of the values of bourgeois consciousness in the person of its ideal bearer, “economic man”; determines the content of bourgeois consciousness elements, reveals stages in its development, gives their characteristics, pays particular attention to identifying the reasons that determine the logic of bourgeois mentality development, and basing on them comes to the conclusions about the consequences of the construction of economy capitalist model in Russia.
