Abstract.
The author discusses the problem of corporeality in the Russian and European plastic theatre of the end of the XXth – the beginning of the XXIst century, pays special attention to the innovative performances of the choreographers P. Bausch, S. Waltz, A. Preljocaj, C. Carlson, A. Adasinskii, A. Aryupin and others, representing the new direction of dance theater, in the context of modern culture reveals and considers the leading tendencies, related to the images of corporeality, and also analyzes the conceptions of the representation and destruction of body in these choreographers’ performances.
