Abstract.
The author considers the essential features of the Russian national character in their correlation with the Russian man’s attitude to the course of social-economic transformations undertaken in the society, and emphasizing the lack of the effectiveness of the latter comes to the conclusion that the strategy of the Russian modern society reformation should take into account the specificity of the national self-consciousness of the Russian man and be carried out in the context of existing ideas about the rational forms of life arrangement.
