Abstract.
The author describes the process of the restoration work on the iconostasis reconstruction of Kronstadt Naval Cathedral in the name of St Nicholas the Wonder-Worker, emphasizes the uniqueness of the icons reconstruction, made on copper plates, in the stylistics of the beginning of the XX
th century, and their colour solution, and in conclusion substantiates the significance of the reconstruction work in Kronstadt Naval Cathedral in the culture of contemporary Russia.
