Abstract.
The author considers the problem of medical discourse formation and development, which is defined as a mode of professional consciousness in medicine that was formed in the era of the Modern Age from the XVII th till the XVIII th centuries, shows how the changes in the human consciousness of the European culture of that period made possible a medical science development, analyzes cultural changes that contributed to medical discourse formation and transformation during that period and determined the further tendencies in scientific medicine development.
