Abstract. The authors present the information about the nature of relations in the Far Eastern indigenous inhabitants’ families, consider the reasons of the wide spread of sororate, levirate, polygamy and camaraderie (as to the wife), and also the tendency to exogamy among the aborigines, describe the methods of getting wives by bride price payment, the bride working off by the bridegroom, exchange marriage, study the reasons of early marriages among the natives, and analyze the features of male and female labour activity in the family household.
