Abstract.
The author discusses a modern phenomenon of culture – virtual museums, which are the products of computer industry, mentions that virtual museums have a considerable potential for cultural values illicit traffic resistance that is a serious international problem, pays special attention to the struggle against one of crimes types in art sphere – thefts, and shows practical measures, which virtual museums can undertake for the resistance to this type of crimes.
