Abstract.
The author, by the example of Vyatka and Great Perm' eparchy, analyzes a wide range of relationships between monks and their relatives in the context of the state policy, considers the degree of the realization of the Synod decrees on the restriction of monks relations with relatives, in particular discusses the questions of entering the monastery, depending on the family status, living with one’s family in the monastery, monks relationships with the relatives, who remained in the secular world, and researches the features of these relations in monasteries and nunneries.
