Abstract.
The author presents the diachronic analysis of gender identity androgenous type formation tendency in the PRC, considers the basic reasons, which influenced its formation among the modern Chinese youth, and pays special attention both to researching the reasons, influencing gender identity transformation, and to the world tendencies of androgyny phenomenon formation. The conducted analysis allows stating that androgyny as the most neutral type of gender identity is formed under the influence of historical, social, political, and cultural factors.
