Abstract.
The author considers family and parenthood basing on the results of the mass interrogation of the married couples of the Republic of Tatarstan, presents her own definition of the Tatar family modern model, the role and perspectives of parenthood in it, as the conclusion supposes that the most frequent reason of the Tatar families’ having few children is dissatisfaction with economic conditions during the present period, and sees the perspectives of the problem solution in increasing the level of parenthood role comfort in society.
