Abstract.
The authors analyze the family budget of urban population in Central Kazakhstan during the postwar decade, conduct the complex analysis of income and expenditure in the family budgets of workers, employees, engineers and technical workers of coal industry, and reveal the main problems encountered by the region population: the limited source of family income, and also low satisfaction of basic human needs due to the lack of monetary funds.
