“TIME TO PLAY”: PHILOSOPHY AND STRATEGY OF MUSICAL CULTURE OF THE XX th CENTURY

Abstract.
The author discusses the problem of music temporality, suggests finding new cognitive horizons in the study of the fundamental problems of time by the material of the musical culture of the XX th century, tells that time as a cultural philosophical-category is the ontological foundation for the construction of not only the stylistic image of the era, but also a structural element that emphasizes the game situation of the XX th century, and also asserts that the current situation in musical culture can be described as a game because of alternativity, openness, irony, the mosaic structure of the styles, forms and means of artistic expression.
