REGIONAL SPECIFICITY INFLUENCE ON KOMSOMOL GROUPS ACTIVITY ON PUBLIC ORDER PROTECTION IN 1954-1961 (BY MATERIALS OF ARKHANGEL'SK REGION)

Abstract. The author tells about the Komsomol activity on public order protection and the education of youth in Arkhangel'sk region, emphasizes the specificity of the work organization in the presence of a large number of corrective labour institutions, and the international sea trade port in the region, and substantiates that the police assistance teams and then the operational Komsomol groups of voluntary citizen patrol members managed to find the effective methods of not only preventive measures among the youth but also the social adaptation of former convicts.
