Abstract.
The author analyzes the ethno- and social genetic processes, the conceptions of the ethno-genesis of the Terek Cossacks, the specificity of their economic-cultural types, the process of the Cossacks’ ethnic self-consciousness formation, pays special attention to the understanding of conceptual approaches in the search for the “genetic core” of the Cossacks, analyzes the course of social genetic processes, most clearly represented in the economic-cultural types, religious views, and self-consciousness of the Cossacks, and tells that the analysis of ethnic and social genetic processes, the origin of the Cossacks’ social-historical systems as the basis of the Slavic settlers’ culture allows substantiating her own conception of regional culture genesis.
