Abstract.
The author reveals the idea of the boundary character of art, religion and mysticism typical of J. S. Bach’s creative works, pays special attention to identifying different ways of the interpenetration of the artistic and religious-mystical types of thinking that allows revealing new, previously not studied aspects of the German genius’s art, and tells that the analysis of J. S. Bach’s aesthetic views provides important additional grounds for the revelation of the genetic relationship of art, religion and mysticism, and also opens a way for the further understanding of music essence.
