CHURCH VALUES CONFISCATION IN VLADIKAVKAZ IN 1922

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the relations between the state and the Church at the beginning of the 1920s. One of the main events during this period was the campaign on church values confiscation in connection with famine in 1921-1922. The author introduces a number of new documents, which is important for further research in this sphere, into scientific circulation, it also allows determining the position of the campaign on church values confiscation in the religious policy of the Soviet power as a whole, studying the forms of the clergy and believers’ reaction to the confiscation, and estimating the campaign on church values confiscation in Vladikavkaz.
