Abstract.
The article analyzes social problems associated with the modernization of obligatory medical insurance institution in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is concluded that the intensification of informational work with the insured on clarifying their rights and obligations within obligatory medical insurance institution is necessary for the improvement of health care services quality, as well as the clarification of the order of control over the activity of medical-preventive institutions, and the activation of medical insurance companies’ independent activity.
