TOLERANCE ROLE IN ETHNO-CULTURAL IDENTITY SIGNIFICANCE COMPREHENSION (BY EXAMPLE OF POLY-ETHNIC REGION STUDENTS)

Abstract.
The article reveals tolerance influence on the man’s understanding of his (her) belonging to the ethnic group. The conducted analysis of the results of the empirical research of students’ ethno-cultural identity self-understanding peculiarities and tolerance interconnection showed significant sense differences in the answers clusters of respondents with high and low levels of tolerance. The revealed differences are determined by ethnicity limits comprehension, which may turn national self-consciousness to the search of human spirit general summits or isolate the concrete forms of this spirit expression. Man’s value excels his (her) national peculiarities significance in inter-ethnic tolerance context. At the same time tolerance doesn’t contradict national pride feeling and patriotism, but, on the contrary, reveals those aspects, which determine the dignity of the man per se in the national forms of culture.
