Abstract.
The article is devoted to design role research in sports footwear shaping process and its importance determination in interconnection with the item functional and aesthetic parameters. Aesthetic and functional characteristics influence on the process of sports footwear look and construction determination is in the spotlight. Considerable practical experience is summarized and demonstrably presented as the graphical analysis of leading sports brands production by means of the typological scheme construction. The authors come to the conclusion that aesthetic tendencies in sports footwear look formation and its functional qualities turn into integral whole preserving the balance of rational and emotional characteristics.
