Abstract. The article is devoted to the early period of Luisa Roldan’s creative work, which covered the years of her stay in Cádiz. Having lasted only about four years, this stage of the sculptor’s activity had significant influence on Roldan’s subsequent works. This period was the time of the master’s artistic style formation. Basing on the samples created by the teacher, Pedro Roldan, Luisa worked out her own individual manner. The insufficient coverage of this topic in art criticism makes the article topical.
