Abstract.
The article summarizes the sociological research materials of 2012 and is devoted to the social consciousness consideration of studying youth (at the age of 18-23) from the point of view of their attitude towards the state languages of the Mari-El Republic. Special attention is given to the question of widening the Mari state language functioning sphere.
