ABOUT IDENTITY AS SELF-DETERMINATION INSTRUMENT IN POST-SOVIET RUSSIA

Abstract.
In this article identity as the conceptual instrument of self-determination in Russia is considered. According to this aim the content features of the notion “identity” such as continuity, interdisciplinarity, and dynamic structure are revealed. The usage limit of this category is defined through social-historical context. It is shown that the notion “identity” is closely connected with post-modernism situation and that is why it can’t be an efficient instrument for the self-determination of Russia in long perspective.
