Abstract. The article presents the analysis of the conceptions of the representatives of the Old Russian thinkers (Illarion, Daniil Zatochnik and Vladimir Monomakh) about equitable society management. The paper shows that justice at this stage of philosophical thought development was associated with the category of “truth” and the moral and ethical image of the ruler, his personal qualities, it was personified into humanism and the ruler’s concern about his subjects; juridical laws were interpreted as derivatives of “truth”, divine commandments and dictates of conscience.
