Abstract.
The author considers the problem of the USA Republican Party financing in the period of the Democrat B. Clinton’s presidency (1993-2001). He accentuates the sources and principles of financing the party, and also answers the question about how the Republicans’ consolidation in the Congress influenced this process. The author concludes that in 1993-2001 the financial basis of the party did not undergo cardinal changes in comparison to the previous period, though the role of the so called “soft money” in the process of election campaigns financing increased. Obtaining majority in both Houses of the Congress in 1994 resulted in business structures re-orientating to the Republicans and eventually in increasing cash flow into the budgets of party organs.
