Abstract.
The article considers the Soviet-Iranian treaty of 1921. It was the first equal right political treaty with a foreign state in the history of Iran. The Soviet-Iranian treaty of 1921 favoured the strengthening of the Iranian people’s independence and entrusted commitments providing the non-interference of both countries in home affairs of each other to the USSR and Iran. The treaty outlined specific ways for the restoration of economic relations, provided for trade agreement concluding and the exchange of permanent diplomatic representatives.
