TIN-AND-TUNGSTEN SECTOR DEVELOPMENT OF MINING INDUSTRY IN THE NORTH-EAST OF RUSSIA IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1970S

Abstract.
The article considers the main directions of tin-and-tungsten mining work in the years of the tenth five-year plan (1976-1980) in the North-East of Russia. This period following the record indexes of 1974-1975 was characterized by a sizeable slump in metals mining by “Severovostokzoloto” association. The author determines the factors, which influenced decrease in tin-and-tungsten mining. Special attention is drawn to new techniques and technologies implementation, the development of brigade contract, prospecting tin mining, problems with labour protection.
