Abstract.
The article presents the analysis of the basic tendencies of forming the musical space of the artistic life of Stavropol region within the framework of the origin and formation of cultural development in North Caucasus. The author pays special attention to understanding the problems of the national and state self-determination of the North Caucasian peoples as the basis for the dialogue between the cultures of the peoples from the region. The analysis of the process of developing musical education in Stavropol region enabled the author to identify the dominant role of Stavropol Philharmonic in this process and substantiate her own original conception of regional musical culture development.
