Abstract.
The article presents the ideas of the German scientist Kurt Hubner, which can be considered not so much opposing the nominalistic interpretations of the nation (E. Gellner, E. Hobsbawm) as supplementing them and extending possibilities for the understanding of national behaviour and international relations.
