Abstract.
In the article the author reveals the peculiarities of the agitation-propaganda work, which was carried out among the people of the Ingush region of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR by the soviet party during one of the most important battles of the Great Patriotic War - the Battle of the Caucasus. The goals of the article are to analyze the character and peculiarities of the organization and conduct of the agitation-propaganda work; to assess the external factors that influenced its conduct, the impact of the local peculiarities of the region on its organization. The reference to the role, which the techniques of totalitarian “brainwashing” played in the success of the propaganda work among the population of Ingushetia, is new.
