Abstract.
The article analyzes changes in the status of the state arbitration of the USSR in the first half of the 1980s taking into account the adoption of the Law “On State Arbitration in the USSR” and other normative acts. On the basis of archival materials the author analyzes the activity of state arbitration bodies on the observance of contractual relationships between enterprises. The paper touches on the problems of organizing opposition to the growth of shadow economy. Special attention is paid to the solution of staffing problems in the system of state arbitration.
